MUMBAI: Bollywood heartthrob Kareena Kapoor is still not confirmed to play the lead role in the film titled Heroine, producers UTV Motion Pictures said in statement on Wednesday.

The clarification came in the wake of a report published in a Mumbai-based tabloid that claimed Kapoor has replaced Aishwarya in the film.

The statement from UTV mentioned that no one has been selected for the role till now. The tabloid had claimed that Kareena had demanded a whopping Rs 10 crores fee for the role but eventually settled at Rs 8 crores.

Earlier, the film received a huge setback after news of Ash being pregnant, who was selected in the lead role, was made public by the Bachchan's.

The film is scheduled to be directed by ace B-town director Madhur Bhandarkar.

Meanwhile, in another piece of news on Bebo, fans will not be able see the wax statue of Kapoor in the iconic Madame Tussauds wax museum in London. The statue will not be installed there, media reports said.

According to reports, the statue will be launched in Blackpool instead of London.
