The following is a completely hypothetical situation of one girl being taking on by an undercover lover.
While working at an out-of-town event one weekend, X and her partner in crime associate were introduced to a group of young, undercover cops who were in charge of monitoring the party-goers. These were not regular cops; dressed in street clothes, they would flash their badges to impress the ladies, sneak the girls the booze they had confiscated, and party with all the workers at night. On one such night, after far too many cocktails and far too much flirtation, X and her partner in crime decided to finish off the night in their hotel room – coppers in tow. After some serious make-out sessions, instigated by too much alcohol and the dirty 3am movie playing on late night television, one thing lead to another and both X and her friend ended hooking up with the badges.
It was a wild and crazy night, but waking up the next morning sucked. With a pounding headache, both X and her friend recapped the events of the previous night, feeling both daring and awful at the same time. Sleeping with a man in uniform was risky and exciting, but remembering the next morning that he told you he was married and you did it anyways?...not so great. The guilt began to build up inside X and her friend as they realized the moral consequences of what they had done. They had become the woman they hated, that they hoped their future husbands would never cheat on them with, the twenty-something year old sluts that tease and provoke women’s husbands to break vows. How could X and her friend fall for this? And all just to wake up the next morning naked and alone in a hotel room.
So here’s the moral to the story: sometimes temptation and risky behaviour makes people forget about their core values and they slip up. They become who they hate, and one night can lead to a lot of regret. But here’s the thing... cheating is a two-way street. Chances are if those cops didn’t sleep with X and her friend, they would have slept with two other girls anyways.
