In my last post I touched on the subject of "dating education" which basically men, for the most part aren’t taught growing up how to interact with women. I of course blamed Hollywood, but much of the literature out there is also a bunch of bullshit (For both genders).
For men we have magazines like Maxim which is basically Paris Hilton in a push-up bra, cool gadgets and useless knowledge like “how to make a potato gun”. It has the odd dating tidbit, but caters mainly to the workings of the male mind being, women, sex and beer. There is also a variety of dating books out there, but I think MOST men don’t have the patience to read such material or of that nature (being literature that doesn’t have half naked chicks on every third page)
Women on the other hand do have the patience to read an article or two on dating. Thus I present to you the toilet reading propaganda that is “Cosmo” magazine. It’s supposedly a cheat sheet to the inner workings of the male mind. Headlines like “101 ways to trick your man into making Chicken Quesada” Trick me? How about actually asking me to make Chicken Quesada? Then I’ll tell you “I don’t give a shit about Chicken Quesada” This magazine is full of useless statistics, scientifically proven behaviour facts about men (yeah right) and of course sex tips.
While I don’t doubt knowledge is power, smart people like to make money off bullshit. Both of these magazines while entertaining are mainly a waste of time.
